Our Schools
Our Mission
At Kids Campus Day Care, our mission is to provide an exceptional early learning environment that encourages each child’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development in a safe, nurturing, and fun atmosphere. Our preschool provides educational programs for infants through school age children and provide our community with other valuable family resources. Our goal is to empower children to be confident, successful learners and responsible individuals in both school and life.
“Once children learn how to learn, nothing is going to narrow their mind. The essence of teaching is to make learning contagious, to have one idea spark another.”
- Marva Collins
Educational Principles
The first five years of a child’s life are so important for growth and learning. Kids Campus educational principles are based upon Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences. This theory emphasizes that all children learn at different paces, using different methods of learning. Each classroom provides many ways of learning with organized centers, including; math, science, writing, technology, reading, dramatic play, art, transportation and block play. We will always recognize your child’s developmental milestones and encourage further learning! We promote an exciting learning experience which entails experimentation, creativity, exploration, discovery and fun hands-on activities. Our goal is to establish a solid foundation of skills and knowledge that your child will utilize for the rest of his or her life.
Our Facilities
Kids Campus Lynbrook is a stand alone, 10,000 square foot state of the art early childhood center. Our school layout and classrooms were specifically designed to allow unobstructed visibility from the main hallway along with plenty of natural sunlight from large windows and glass doors throughout the building. Each room is also equipped with classroom cameras viewable from the front office. Rooms have separate diaper changing areas and our bathrooms are equipped with child sized commodes. Kids Campus Lynbrook has 3 separate age appropriate playgrounds for our infants, toddlers and preschool students. We provide healthy catered lunches, breakfast and snacks on a daily basis. As part of the New York State Child and Adult Care Food Program, we are held to the highest nutritional standards to provide food from all four food groups at each meal.
Kids Campus Valley Stream is our newest location that is currently under construction. We look forward to expanding Kids Campus and providing care for our valley stream community.
All of our locations' front doors are always locked and have keypad entry. The access code is only given to currently enrolled families. Kids Campus has an automated electronic security system that assigns a code to each parent and/guardian authorized to drop off or pick up a child. A sign in to the system is required by all upon entry into the building. During enrollment, you will provide us with an approved pickup and drop-off list and anyone that is not a primary guardian must show photo id and have parent authorization before they can pick up a child.
Our Curriculum
Learning Beyond Paper
Kids Campus utilizes the Learning Beyond Paper curriculum at both our Lynbrook and Valley Stream locations. This research-based and classroom-tested program supports children from infancy through preschool with:
Purposeful play and teacher-guided learning
Strong focus on social-emotional development
Developmentally appropriate learning experiences for every age
A STEAM foundation (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) embedded throughout learning
