Parent Board

Kids Campus has an open door policy for all enrolled families. We know how important it is for you to have an understanding of and shared participation in your child’s school activities. In addition to ongoing teacher/school/family communications, at any time, you may observe your child in his or her classroom through our large observation windows or via our closed circuit camera system located in the office.

Formal family/teacher conferences are scheduled semi-annually. Informal conferences are held any time by appointment. Your communication and involvement are important and will enhance our partnership of educating and caring for your child. Daily communication including pictures, via our school to parent app makes keeping in touch through the day easy and fun

Throughout the year, we encourage families to join us to participate in holiday and other special celebrations. From time to time, you will be invited into the classroom to share special activities with your child. Some of our annual activities include our Halloween Parade, December Holiday Show, Mothers Day, Fathers Day and more. Please always keep in mind we are a nut-free facility.

Our goal is to treat each child and family member with understanding and respect while being responsive to each individual’s needs and expectations.

Daily Report

Kids Campus sends home via app, activity and learning reports at the end of the day to all guardians/parents. This is an important tool in communicating between school and parent and is also a great way for parents to get feedback and comments on each child’s special accomplishments and achievements. By reviewing the reports, not only do parents gain understanding of their child’s school day, but they are also able to reinforce concepts and lessons at home.

The infant report is a detailed summary that informs the parent of what their child did that day, including feedings, diaper changes, books that were read and song that were sung.

For Preschool and Pre-K children, the report will discuss the teacher’s weekly/daily lessons, what their child worked on and other classroom activities. T

Family-Teacher Conferences

Formal family-teacher conferences are scheduled semi-annually. Informal conferences are held any time by appointment. During conferences, teachers will review your child’s progress using an age appropriate developmental checklist that follows Infant, Toddler and Preschool Guidelines and NYS Learning Standards. , They may also show you samples of your child’s work and discuss any highlights or concerns you may have. Your communication and involvement are very important and will enhance our partnership of educating and caring for your child.

We understand working parents difficulty in scheduling daytime meetings and will try our best to accommodate your schedule during our normal hours of operation. We always prefer an in-person meeting, however, phone conferences are available upon request.

While most work is sent home each week, Kids Campus will sometimes maintain a portfolio of your child’s art and other projects that demonstrate his or her growth and evolution throughout the year. Any remaining original work will be sent home at the end of each school year.
